Q-Med is a medical device company that primarily develops, manufactures, markets and sells medical implants. Most of the products are based on the company's patented technology, NASHA™, for the production of stabilized non-animal hyaluronic acid.
The company today has approximately 650 co-workers in 20 countries, with approximately 400 at the company's head office and production facility in Uppsala.
Q-Med had sales of 1,364 MSEK during 2009. Q-Med AB is listed in the Mid Cap segment of the NASDAQ OMX Nordic.

Inauguration of Q-Med Academy, Paris

March 11, 2010, Q-Med will open a training centre in Paris for education in non-surgical esthetic treatments. Located in the heart of Paris, at 49, Rue de Lisbonne Q-Med Academy will become a reference point in the esthetic medicine field with invited speakers from all over the world, International Master Classes, Roundtables and Expert Meetings. The aim is to gather knowledge on the most advanced techniques and indications within the facial and body esthetic procedures. This is the second step in the international consolidation of Q-Med as an innovative leader in the beauty field: a first training centre of excellence was inaugurated 2009 in Hong-Kong, the Q-Med Academy Asia-Pacific.
