Restylane Skin Rejuvenation

Restylane

Market leader with safe products and natural results

Restylane® is an internationally leading product family for beauty treatments based on non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid produced using the patented NASHA™ technology. Treatments with Restylane have a long-lasting effect but are not permanent. The Restylane family consists of Restylane fillers, Restylane skinboosters and Restylane skincare.

Restylane fillers

Restylane® fillers are a crystal-clear gel that is injected in the skin with a thin, fine needle. The treatment is performed by trained specialists, primarily dermatologists and plastic surgeons. The Restylane gel consists of a minimally modified hyaluronic acid that is similar to the hyaluronic acid found naturally in the body. The contents can almost be described as sugar and water and Restylane is slowly broken down in a natural way in the body.

Restylane fillers lift tired skin and are used, for example, to fill out wrinkles and lines by means of injections  in the desired place, for example the angry ”worry line” in the forehead or the grumpy lines from the nose down towards the mouth. Increased fullness can also be obtained in the lips or cheekbones and the facial contours can be strengthened. A treatment is fast (approximately 30 minutes) and the results are seen directly. A treatment with Restylane lasts up to 18 months with one follow-up treatment, and for up to 36 months with two follow-up treatments.

Restylane skinboosters

Restylane skinboosters consist of Restylane Vital and Restylane Vital Light, which were introduced on to the market in 2004. It is an injection treatment that rejuvenates and improves the quality of large areas of skin from the inside, for example on the face, on the throat, in the décolletage and on the hands.

Restylane skinboosters add hyaluronic acid to the skin via a number of small injections over a large area of skin. Unlike treatment with Restylane fillers, where the result is immediately visible, Restylane skinboosters require three initial treatments at intervals of 2-4 weeks and then treatment two or three times per year in order to achieve the best results. During these treatments the skin is gradually built up and obtains more luster, a better moisture balance and increased firmness and elasticity.

The area of use for skinboosters is broad and today the products are also used for hydrobalance of the lips, treatment of dry elbows, treatment of acne and in combination with, for example, peeling or laser treatment.

Restylane skincare

The new series of skincare products, Restylane skincare, which was launched in 2010, contained six products at launch: facial cleanser, day and night cream, night serum and hand cream, as well as a soothing cream for use after treatments with Restylane. The philosophy behind Restylane skincare is simplicity and efficiency. The products only contain active ingredients that are good for the skin and they are in the right quantity to achieve maximum effect. Unlike the hyaluronic acid to be found in other skincare products, which has a liquid consistency, the NASHA technology means that the hyaluronic acid in Restylane skincare occurs as microscopic particles, with a unique ability to both retain and add moisture. Furthermore they have a visually smoothing effect when they come into the very smallest lines. The crystal-shaped particles reflect the light so that the skin gains a natural luster and a beautiful glow.
